Prev owner name etc on front free endpaper, Jacket a bit toned on spine with approx 3cm teear at bottom of front spine fold.In 1843 an Islamic Brotherhood established itself among the Bedouin tribes of Cyrenaica. Its teachings spread to Egypt, Tripolitania, Farzan and the Sudan. The theocratic empire which the Ordr built up in North Africa was destroyed by the French in the Sudan, by the Italians in Libya and the British in Egypt. The Order led the Bedouin of Cyrenaica in their resistance to Italain conquest and when Italy entered WWII their aid was offered to the British, in return for which they were promised that after the war they would not again be subjects of Italy. At the time of writing a decision had nbot been determined about their future.. First Edition. Hard Cover. Very Good/Very Good. 8vo.
