Miep Gies was the helper of the family Frank during their hiding in the hiding place 'Het Achterhuis' in Amsterdam during the Nazi-occupation of the Netherlands. She found the diary of Anne Frank and handed it to the father of Anne Frank, Otto Frank, the only surviver of the family of the concentration-camps. Anne Frank died in Bergen Belsen in march 1945.
