Sobre este artículo
Signs of previous ownership. Sticker residue on spine. The cover is slightly fading with soiling. Bumping and rubbing on edges and corners. Pages clean with no writing. Pages deckled. This is a strange book, the adult prequel to the children's books (the Midnight Folk, and the Box of Delights), in which Kay's grandfather and grandmother find each other. It's a tale that puts the greatest importance on the love relationship. Sard's life in many ways just marks time between his first meeting with her as a boy, and the time of the story, in his mid twenties. There are elements of the paranormal (sometimes explained later as quite ordinary, sometimes not - in fact often not). The story involves a strange, nightmarish journey in which things go on going wrong, and the descriptions of what Sard goes through could really only have been written by a poet. 1924. T7.
