Signed by poet on title page, dated March 1984, and inscribed by her to former owner on page facing copyright page. 72 pp. Red cloth with gilt stamping. Near Fine in Very Good+ dust jacket with rubbing, tiny closed tear in front panel, and very slight fading to spine panel, San Francisco Poetry Center Award sticker on front panel, light offsetting to verso. A bit of paper stuck to back board from jacket being slightly adhered there, as was typical. The first book by the Pulitzer-Prize-winning poet, signed in its rare cloth issue.
