2 Vols. : 'The Satanic Verses : The First UK printing, published by Viking, London in 1988. Both the BOOK and the WRAPPER are in near Fine condition with the wrapper unfaded. The Wrapper is protected in a removable Brodart archival cover. The book has been signed (without dedication) by the author to the title page. Along with In Good Faith , a small 22 page booklet published by Granta, UK in 1990. The book is in Fine condition and has been signed again (without dedication) by the author to the title page. In this title, Salman Rushdie details the controversy surrounding the publication of The Satanic Verses and his defence of the novel. Given the recent circumstances, The Satanic Verses is likely to remain very elusive as a signed title, as it is highly unlikely that the author will undertake any more public signing events.
