Octavo, 240pp. Gray hardcover, title in gilt on black spine. Illustrated endpapers. Stated "Second printing... November, 1954" on copyright page. Solid text block, faint toning to top and bottom edges, a near fine example. Includes laid-in card from the publisher asking for feedback on the book. Previous ownership inscription to front flyleaf, with name matching the laid-in envelope and the recipient in the inscription. In the publisher's dust jacket, $3.50 retail price, one short closed tear to front panel, a few chips to head of spine, some shelf wear. A very good example. Inscribed on the half-title: "Satchmo.
