New York: National Travel Club, 1936. Hardcover. xiii, 205p., illustrated as called for plus a doublespread line map bound in at rear, first American edition black cloth boards gilt & blind. A nice production, with tinted top edge and well-reproduced pictures, very good condition. No dust jacket. Author Hides was born in Papua, which helps explain his survival on long policings (murder and head-hunting being illegal) that took him and his eight tribal cops into remote areas.
