Thomas Nelson and Sons/T Nelson and Sons. London. 1895., 1895 Book size about 5 1/2 by 7 inches with some 379 pages plus a four page publisher catalog at the rear. Bound in illustrated blue cloth. Front cover illustration of a raft; decorated and gilt spine. Interestingly the Title Page calls for 'Thirty-Two Engravings' while the List of Illustrations page shows only 31--there are, in fact, 32 engravings in the book (One Title Page vignette and 31 full page plates. A well worn and rubbed book with wear through along the bottom edge, spine top/bottom, tips. It appears to me that the hinges have been reinforced. A book much loved by a previous owner.
