London: Pall Mall Gazette, 1886. Book. Fine. Hardcover. First Edition. 4to - Landscape. Frontis portrait with original tissue guard and twelve fine (coloured) chromolithographic plates. Original brown cloth boards with black and gilt decoration. Binding in excellent condition with minimal wear, rear board very slightly marked. Contents clean and tight, contemporary signature dated 1886 to the half-title, otherwise appears unread. An excellent copy of an important and rare work. (Title on front board reads "Comic English Histories by Dick Doyle").
