A very good copy, the binding square and secure with cracking and a little loss to the spine, minor cracking to the joints and some bumping and wear to the corners. The contents with a contemporary owner's ink name to the front pastedown and some occasional scattered foxing (more so to the preliminary pages) are otherwise in very good order. An account of the pioneering experiences of an overland route through Egypt and Italy traversed by the British army officer, traveller and writer Joseph Moyle Sherer (1789-1869).
