Instead of pagination the item specifies plate numbers, 1 thru 55, many double-spreads, most with spot color onlays to clarify, plates furthermore carry captioning texts and many leaves unfold sizeably (making room for sizeable captions). Terminal image shows propellers and/or flywheels; all plates appear to show heavy machinery that gets into motion. A hardbound item in 11.5x9 inch flexible cloth boards, spring-green in color and titled & decorated in black and gilt. Intact, indeed sound, with some aesthetic flaws: edgewear, a bump, spot-bubbling of cloth, stains and a rusty spot where one staple is dying. These aesthetic grumps are none of them serious; item is cleanly (we don't see dirt), and except for a 1912 ownership on titlepage, a good, rather pleasant copy.
