Sobre este artículo

New York: The Jewish Museum New York, 2003. Hardcover. Fine/VG- (dj lightly rubbed and with a tiny tear at bottom of front). Black cloth/boards. Red lettering on spine. Color-illus. dj with primary-color lettering. 208 pp. with 175 illus., including 125 in full color and 50 duotones. Music CD in back pocket. Catalogue from the exhibition held at The Jewish Museum, October 2003 to February 2004. Essays include Schoenberg and Kandinsky in Concert; Schoenberg's Echo: The Composer as Painter; The Blue Rider; Kandinsky and Schoenberg: Abstraction as a Visual Metaphor of Emancipated Dissonance; and First Loyalties: Schoenberg and Vienna's Classical Tradition. Includes chronologies of both Schoenberg and Kandinsky and program notes for the CD. A vibrant account of how music and painting drew inspiration from one another during an era of extraordinary artistic synergy. The archival CD includes Schoenberg's compositions performed at the January 1911 concert, which was the catalyst for the events and works on which this exhibition and catalogue are based. An amazing catalogue.
