Sobre este artículo
Allison V. Stewart, Boston, 1917; 12mo; black leather flex covers; gilt titles; all page edges gilt. The complete individual texts of "Science And Health With Key To The Scriptures," plus numerous other of Mrs. Eddy’s writings: "Miscellaneous Writings 1883-1896"; "Unity Of Good"; "Rudimental Divine Science"; "No And Yes"; "Retrospection And Introspection"; "The First Church Of Christ Scientist"; "Miscellany" (which includes responses to criticisms made by Mark Twain and McClure’s Magazine, and a 1906 refutation of allegations that Rev. James Henry Wiggin was co-author of Science and Health); "Christian Healing"; "The People’s Idea Of God"; "Pulpit And Press"; "Christian Science vs. Pantheism"; "Message To The Mother Church, 1900"; "Message To The Mother Church, 1901"; and "Message To The Mother Church, 1902," the entire collection bound together in a single volume with all original prelims and title pages preserved. Frontispiece photogravure portrait plate of Mrs. Eddy, plus a plate of the newly constructed Mother Church in Boston opposite "Christian Healing." A formidable volume, 1,968 pages in length and 2 1/4" thick, printed on onionskin paper. Very Good Plus, binding tight, sound, and square, leather supple, with sheen preserved, no bumps, no cracks, no chips, no scrapes, no tears, with the three original black silk marker ribbons present, one loose, the others still firmly attached. All gilding brilliant. There is some underlining in black ink (examples shown) on 40 leaves of text scattered at random throughout the volume. A substantial archive of early Christian Science and its enigmatic founder.
