Corners of some leaves dog-eared. A 3" tear and a couple of misfolds to the folding map. The illustrations are mostly of fish and the netting equipment. One unusual illustration shows a man sitting in the water on top of the trawling net as it is being brought in, being supported by the mass of snapper in the haul - "So great is the buoyancy of a large haul of schnapper when drawn from deep water that the mass is capable of supporting for some time the weight of a man."; 116 pages + 23 plates + colour folding map. Printed green wrappers. Page dimensions: 213 x 139mm. Owner's ex-libris label on title page "Dr CNS [Corrie] McLachlan".; 8vo 8" - 9" tall .
