London: John Murray, 1954. Reprint. Hardcover. Very Good/Good. 1954 THIRD IMPRESSION of SIXTH EDITION. Original red cloth, four gilt snowflakes front cover corner, gilt lettering & one snowflake spine. The book is in nice condition with no previous owner marks or writing on any pages, complete with all illustrations and folding maps, bright clean covers, a few light foxing-like spots on covers, pages clean and bright without any foxing, tight binding. The dust jacket has 6cm x 3cm loss upper rear near spine, 2cm loss upper spine and lower spine corner, large tear across all of front but not overly distracting. Book measures 223mm tall x 153mm, and has 414 pages, 5 folding maps, 110 illustrations, 7 b/w photos, 11 appendices, index. Book is complete with all plates, maps, and charts. Folding maps are in excellent condition. PHOTOS ARE OF ACTUAL ITEM BEING OFFERED.
