Sobre este artículo
This is an antique copy of "Scraps and Sketches" by GEORGE CRUIKSHANK. Circa 1880's (there is no date of publication stated). Gilt page edges on all sides. The book contains 24 pages of cartoon-style illustrations by Cruikshank done between 1828-1832 (some of which are full-page). Over-sized book that measures 14 1/2" wide x 10 3/4" tall. There are illustrated advertisements at the front and back.
Condition:
Some light soiling to the covers; the front cover has some small areas where there is "bubbling" under the cloth; worn corners; the left edge of the spine has a couple tiny cloth tears. Tanning to the cloth at the right-hand corners of the front cover, and to 3/4 of the back cover. Tight binding. There is clear tape along the front and rear hinges between the end papers and pastedowns. The pages are in very good condition with only an occasional finger smudge at the outer edge of a few random pages. The rear blank end paper has a small tear at the bottom edge that has been repaired with clear tape.
