An almost pristine first edition of Graham Greene's travel journals written during his time spent researching in Africa. The first edition, first impression of this work.In the original unclipped dustwrapper.Two travel journals penned by Graham Greene whilst travelling in Africa. Whilst travelling on these journeys Greene researched his two novels set in Africa, 'A Burnt-Out Case', and 'The Heart of the Matter'.Greene was one of the most popular authors of the twentieth century, known for his works 'Brighton Rock', 'The End of the Affair' and 'Our Man in Havana'.Letter loosely inserted. In the original publisher's quarter cloth binding with paper to the boards, in the original unclipped dustwrapper. Externally, fine. A couple of spots to the fore edge. Bookseller's label to the front pastedown. Dustwrapper is lightly edgeworn with some spots and discolouration. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean. Near Fine
Sinopsis
Graham Greene (1904-1991) worked as a journalist and critic, and was later employed by the Foreign Office. His many books include The Power and the Glory , The Third Man , Our Man in Havana , The Comedians and Travels with My Aunt . He is the subject of an acclaimed three-volume biography by Norman Sherry.

Based in the literary city of Bath, our offices are housed in the Eastern Dispensary. Built in 1845, the building originally existed as a charitable institution providing medical care. The building now houses our collection of over twenty thousand books and has five full time members of staff.
