Stuttgart, Germany: Gebruder Mantler, 1750. In German. Sixth edition. No publication date, ca. 1750. Includes indices. Paradies-Gartlein has separate title page and pagination and is followed by Kindliche Seufzer um die Weisheit von Oben, also with separate pagination. Very thick book in what appears to be darkened pigskin with decoartive borders, raised spine bands, remnants of lower clasps, 7.5 inches tall, about 4 inches thick. title page in black and red, with 15 full page engravings, twelve of which represent months of the year. Pagination: [3],4-1426, [16], [3], 4-290, [20],[2], 3-26. Covers have darkening and wear, rear joint cracked but secure, text block sound, pages age-toned but generally quite clean with occasional tiny ink droplets, frontis engraving a little smudged with some margin chips and a 1.5 inch closed tear, other plates good to very good, name and notation in German on front free endpaper dated 1792, no other markings.. Hard Cover. Good. 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall.
