Sobre este artículo

New York, New York, U.S.A.: Hyperion Press, 2008. Trade Paperback. Very Good. Stated: First Paperback Edition. Soft cover in very good condition; no writing, no markings noted. Appears unread. * From the rear cover : ""Winter 1944. As the Allies reach the borders of Germany and victory appears at hand, Hitler dispatches a company of English-speaking Nazi commandos on a treacherous assignment that could change the course of history. During the furious action of the Battle of the Bulge, all of his assassins are killed . . .all but two who were never accounted for.. . . Frost picks up where these facts leave off and weaves a breathtaking narrative around these last two commandos: one the Brooklyn-born son of German parents and the other a charismatic sociopath from the depraved ranks of the SS. . . .""

Sinopsis

Historians tell us that the Second Objective began as a last-ditch effort to halt the Allied offensive at D-Day. A desperate Adolf Hitler selected 1500 English-speaking soldiers, trained them at a secret camp, and sent them across Allied lines to create chaos. An even smaller group was given the mission to attempt the assassination of General Eisenhower-- an operation known as the Second Objective. All were eventually captured, except for two rogues, who were never found or accounted for. There the historical record ends. Frost takes these facts and weaves a dramatic tale in the tradition of Freddy Forsyth and Ken Follett following the missing Nazi commandos: one a Brooklyn-born son of German parents who considers himself an American, and the other a charismatic, cold-blooded member of the SS. In their pursuit is a NYPD detective turned military police officer who finds himself faced with a difficult choice and a chance to change the course of history.
