His strategy here is to present each theater - the East, the West, and the Pacific, according to the 'strategic dilemma' faced by the leaders in each area, with a focus on five great battles; Crete, Falaise, Berlin, and Okinawa. 7-3/4" X 10", sewn binding, 607 with Index and Bibliography. Illustrated through the text with photos. No marks, no creases, no noticeable wear to the jacket. The dust jacket has been protected with a clear, removable cover. This edition often will have sun fading to the spine of the jacket, this copy does not have that problem. Sturdy heavy weight mustard colored cover boards, with black cloth covered spine, and the title imprinted on the spine in a copper color. Cover boards are flat, the top right front corner is just very slightly bumped, not very noticeable and not at all noticeable with the jacket on.
Edges of the text block are clean. Sewn binding is tight and square.
High quality printing, the volume weighs more than 3 pounds. No former ownership marks, no writing on the text pages. This is not the book club edition, not a library discard. The attached photos are of the copy we have in our inventory.
