Sinopsis
Fosco Maraini was born in Florence in 1912. An anthropologist by training, after his first visit to Tibet he was trapped in Japan by the outbreak of war, and taught in the University of Kyoto until interned. In addition to his writing he has been a broadcaster, documentary film-maker, and professor at the University of Florence. From 1959 to 1964 he was Fellow at St Antony’s College, Oxford.
