Aua blue coated boards with gilt titles front and spine; published without a jacket. Light rubbing to spine edges and corners, contents in unread condition. The Secret war is a criticism of the "behind-the-lines development", attempts by Great Britain and her allies to destabilize the alliances that Germany formed during the First World War. Stuart Ramsay Tompkins served as a soldier in the First World War including at Vimy Ridge; his war time letters to his wife were published as A Canadian's Road to Russia, Letters From the Great War Decade.
