Sobre este artículo
Rochester, NY: Publishing Trust of George Eastman House, 1994. First Edition. . Exhibition Catalogue. Fine/Fine. The catalogue issued in conjunction with the 1995 exhibition of Dr. Edgerton's work and art. Doc Edgerton was an MIT professor and artist who invented strobe lighting and electronic flash and used his sense of color and composition to create the fine art "stop action" photos, now exhibited in art museums, to demonstrate his scientific discoveries. First Printing, First Edition. About 10 1/4 x 10 1/4 inches, 89 pages plus 2 bound-in photographic postcards at back of book and a CD titled, "The Edgerton Gallery," in an unopened, clear-plastic envelope attached to the inside back cover. Includes numerous photos, both black & white and full color, photographic history essay by Joyce E. Bedi and biographical essay by Douglas Collins, which includes Edgerton's work in Hollywood and his work for the government in World War II. Spiral-bound, glossy, heavy card covers show pages reproduced in "legal pad yellow" from Edgerton's laboratory notes on inside and outside of both covers. The dustjacket is translucent plastic bound into the spiral binding. Both book and jacket are "as new," clean, unmarked, and complete with CD and postcards. No tears, chipping, creasing or bumping. A collectable copy of the accomplishments of a man able to meld science, technology and art at the highest level of achievement.
