Sobre este artículo
New York: H.M. Caldwell Company, 1906. Very Good +. L.J. Bridgman. A solid copy of the 1906 1st edition, with its wonderful pictorial paste-on. Tight and VG+ in its checkered cloth, with neat former owner name (twice --once at the front pastedown and once at the half-title) and somewhat dusty pictorial paste-on. Each recto has an illustration-in-silhouette of a particular object. On the verso is a color illustration using the same outline as the silhouette but portraying a completely different image. For instance, the first picture shows a "Russian soldier with a stern and warlike look" but when you turn the page you see it as "old familiar Santa Claus who brings to you this book". 12mo, L.J. Bridgman's masterful illustrations thruout. Very clever, along the lines of some of Peter Newell's novelty books.
