London: Macmillan, 1934. 57 pages. Poetry by the Scottish nationalist, communist, and leader of the Scottish modernist literary movement. Some of the poems are in English; most are in what MacDiarmid called "synthetic Scots" (and others call "Lallans"). The book is clean and tight, with some edgeware; chipped on top edge; slight toning to blue paper cover; one 3/4" closed tear at top of spine fold. The book is now protected in a mylar dust jacket.. First Edition. Paper. Collectible-Very Good-. 16mo - over 5¾" - 6¾" tall. Chap Book.
