Spine is straight and tight, not creased but there is a line up the spine that looks like a crease, maybe the beginnings of a crease. Otherwise a flawless volume: no markings (aside from Sarton's inscription and signature), creases, or tears. Not clipped, not ex lib, not remaindered.
