More than 100 short poems with title and line drawings. Binding tight and square, Partial patterned age-toning and a 3/4" closed tear to top edge rear panel dj, and some additional light edge wear to same. Thin line of fading to top board edges, very light age toning top and fore- text block, and very light foxing to gutters. Else No markings, binding tight, pages clean. 5.75" x 8.9". Powder-blue cloth with gilt lettering to spine. DJ unclipped. Illustrated dj in acetate protector. SS was an English poet whose rough sketches or doodles became characteristic of her work. These drawings have both a feeling of caprice and doom, and the poetry is stylistically typical of Smith as it conveys serious themes in a nursery rhyme structure.".
