This Modern Library reprint collection of 15 of his stories includes 'The Metamorphosis'. Translated from the German by Willa and Edwin Muir, and with an introduction by Philip Rahv. --- In Toledano spine 14 in blue cloth-look paper-covered boards / titling & decorations stamped in silver on spine / ml logo blindstamped to front cover / blank endpapers. Volume bears 1952 date but likely published c.1969-70. Jacket style o, verso is blank. ML #283.1. --- Interior leaves severely tanned due to use of acidic papers, remainder rubberstamping to textblock lower edge and with creases to corners of some leaves, otherwise a tightly-bound, clean and unmarked copy. Price-clipped dust jacket with foxing and little soiling but remaining intact; protected in removable mylar wrapper.; 12mo (7 to 7-1/2 in. tall); xxii, 328 pages .
