New York: Robert McBride & Company, 1932. First Edition. Original paper covered boards with map / route design in red to the front and rear boards. Red cloth spine with titles printed in black. The map design is repeated as end papers. Owner's bookplate to the front end paper. Seven full-page woodcut or linocut b/w illustrations. Also a number of vignettes. To the rear of the book are eight pages of b/wphotographs taken by the author on his trip to the Amazon. Boards are in good, clean, slightly bumped condition. Inside, clean and tidy throughout. 320, [viii] pp. 230 x 160 mm. (9 x 6¼ inches). . Première édition. Carton d'origine recouvert de papier avec carte / dessin de l'itinéraire en rouge sur les planches avant et arrière. Dos en tissu rouge avec titres imprimés en noir. Le dessin de la carte est répété sur les pages de garde. L'ex-libris du propriétaire se trouve sur la première page de garde. Sept illustrations pleine page en noir et blanc, gravées sur bois ou sur linoléum. Plusieurs vignettes également. Au dos du livre se trouvent huit pages de photographies en noir et blanc prises par l'auteur lors de son voyage en Amazonie. Les planches sont en bon état, propres, légèrement cabossées. L'intérieur est propre et bien rangé. 320, [viii] pp. 230 x 160 mm.
