Reconstructed from the manuscript notes by G. J. Warnock. Slater 25. Austin is one of the best-known philosophers in the ordinary language school and was extremely influential in the development of modern pragmatics. This book is a careful reconstruction of Austin's lectures on sense-preception based on several sets of notes prepared by Austin himself. Pencil annotations throughout; jacket's spine panel faded.
