Sandy Block, a New York detective, is given the task to track down a serial killer of pregnant women. The manner in which they die is horrendous and the clues of few and far between. He then finds out that the killer is possessed by glossolalia  the ability to speak in tongues  so he starts seeking out the evangelical underworld and the world goes down the proverbial rabbit hole. Peter Ketter decides to go home to his small childhood home of Cascade to get away from his job of hunting down terrorists, guerrilla fighters and dangerous fanatics which he believes he is starting to enjoy a little too much  but, the memories of a friendly smalltown have been replaced by town beset by corruption  and haunting of a serial killer. Peter Ketter's old life has followed him. Rubbing of the book corners and back strip edges. There is quite a significant cock of the spine. Age toning of the text block edges and previous owners name to the top right hand corner of the free front end page. Minor rubbing of the dustwrapper edges and panels with sunning to the back strip.
