This is a signed copy of "Set 'Em Up!" by Joe (The Markee) Madden with its original dust jacket. 1939; "Published by a Punch-Drunk Author Who Still Hasn't Learned His Lesson"; New York. Humorous, somewhat racy book about drinking, sex, drugs, gambling, etc. The book contains illustrations (some are full-page) by John Rupe. Please see the photos for the list of contents. Author's inscription in pen on front end paper that reads: "To Pete, with my sincere good wishes - Joe Madden"
Condition:
Clean front cover and spine; very faint, pea-sized stain spot at the bottom edge of the back cover; sharp corners. Tight binding. No cracks. No loose pages. Author's inscription written in pen on front end paper. There are approximately a couple dozen pages that have small pencil dashes next to lines of text in the outer margins....otherwise the pages are clean with no stains, foxing or tears found. Clean covers and flaps of the dust jacket with some light staining on the spine; large tear at the top edge of the spine and at the outer corners of the front cover. Overall in very good condition.
