That began their relationship; and this is their story of how that relationship grew through the "challenge of the North" the struggles, and their trials against the harsh elements, to make a living, to protect their trapping grounds from poachers. This book tells it like it was, and still is, in the north country. William Byron Mowery is the expert when it comes to these kinds of tales of adventure and romance and conservation of the wild places. You will enjoy this one. They don't write them like this anymore. Sure wish they did. I've had my copy for 40 years.
