He was third in line to the throne, preceded by his two elder brothers, but both died without siring legitimate offspring, so William ascended to the throne of Great Britain at the age of 64 in 1830. He had previously had a long-time cohabitation with the famed actress Mrs. Jordan, and the couple had ten children together, but he had broken up with her sometime before assuming the throne. He did end up marrying and having several daughters, but upon his death, his niece, Queen Victoria took up the reigns of the monarchy. ; Oblong 4to 11" - 13" tall .
