Years later, he appears in East Hampton and despite the fact that she has a finance, she is drawn to him and soon she is spinning a web of deceit with her family, the fiance, her Fifth Avenue co-op board and untimately herself as she tries mightily to deny George entry into her world. The novel has been called a daring homage to "A Room With A View" and a brilliantly funny comedy of manners set between two cultures.
