Sobre este artículo
Philadelphia: F. A. Davis Company, 1908. Second Edition, Revised and Enlarged. Hardcover. Very Good. 8vo; xi, 272 pages, brown cloth, gilt spine title flaked, inked name
With a new preface for this edition. "I had not at first proposed to devote a whole volume to sexual inversion. ... But I found in time that several persons for whom I felt respect and admiration were the congenital subjects of this abnormality [including his wife, Edith]. At the same time I realized that in England, more than in any other country, the law and public opinion to combine to place a heavy penal burden and a severe social stigma on the manifestations of an instinct which to those persons who possess it frequently appears natural and normal. It was clear, therefore, that the matter was in special need of elucidation and discussion." - Preface. Appendix E tells the remarkable nature and nurture of Hungarian Countess Sarolta V. who lived and married as a man.

Sobre Thomas J. Joyce And Company
Joyce And Company has been in business as a professional rare bookseller and appraiser since 1975. Owner Thomas Joyce was the regular book appraiser on Home & Garden TV\'s \"The Appraisal Fair\\\" program, on international broadcasts. Thomas Joyce was the co-discoverer of George Washington's personal copy of William Leybourn's 1679 edition of THE COMPLEAT SURVEYOR, from which young Washington learned some of his surveying skills at age 16. The book had vanished for nearly a century until its re-discovery in 2017. It is now back at Mt. Vernon.
