The first edition in its unclipped dust wrapper. A lovely copy of this poetry book by Edith Sitwell, the eldest of the three literary Sitwells. One of the books published during the war together with 'Street Songs' in 1942 and 'The Song of the Cold' in 1945; all were much praised by critics and public alike. The first edition of 1947. These collections reflect the mood and sentiment of those years.Containing notes to the rear. With the unclipped dust wrapper. In the original publisher's paper covered boards. Externally very smart with only minor shelf wear and a minor mark to the front board as well as some minor bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities. The dust wrapper is unclipped and excellent with only minor shelf wear and some minor soiling to the wraps. Internally, firmly bound. The pages are bright and clean. Very Good Indeed
