Gift inscription from the author to the front free end paper: "All good wishes with much love Jean Plaidy". 221 pages + adverts. Original dust jacket poor, with general wear, large section of rear panel missing, rear flap detached, waterstained to rear panel and underside with some transfer of the colour from the hardback binding, not price-clipped, now presented in a loose-fitting clear archival sleeve. Hard-back binding good, slightly water marked. Contents very good and tight, end papers lightly water-marked with very slight transfer of colour from binding to lower edge; minimal spotting to page edges, paper lightly toned. A good first edition copy, signed by the author..
