Sobre este artículo
New York: Cupples & Leon. Very Good- in Very Good- dust jacket. ©1937. Hardcover. 206 + ads p. 20 cm. Copyright date only. Lists to itself in the front of the book, and to #5 "Through the Moon Gate Door" on the jacket flap and the ads at the back of the book. Sound and square binding in cloth-covered boards. A little mottling to the bottom edges of both boards. Light wear to spine ends. A few very tiny soil spots. The text block edges have some evidence of insect predation, but the top edge has the least amount, and is still has a nice dark orange stain. There is a previous owner's name written in the "This is My Book" box. Both pairs of endpapers have some offsetting from the jacket flaps. The inside pages are clean and unmarked overall. The dust jacket has top, bottom and spine edge wear, including chips, tears, and creases. There is a moisture stain along part of the rear panel bottom edge and flap. Rear panel is darkened with light soil. Still presents well in its archival, mylar protector. Carol Scott gets involved in two mysteries when she is given a jade shadow stone as a result of mistaken identity. Black and white glossy frontispiece. The third story in the Mystery Story for Girls series by this prolific children's book writer, better known, among other names, as Carolyn Keene, the author of the Nancy Drew books. .
