Solid text block, touch of sunning to spine, rubbed corners, toning to endpapers. Complete with frontis and 12 full-page illustrations by E.McKnight Kauffer. In the publisher's dust jacket, $3.00 retail price on front flap, light shelf wear, sunning to spine, a few small stains to rear panel, a very good example. (Blockson 6355) Signed by Hughes on the front free endpaper: "For Elizabeth ---, Sincerely, Langston Hughes / June 3, 1949.
