Very light edge wear to boards. Interior is clean. Dust jacket has some chipping at head and foot of spine and corners, chip-gouge on rear panel; a few closed tears; spine faded; rear panel toned; price clipped. DJ in clear archival sleeve. 269 pp. 8.25" x 5.75". Margaret Mackay (1907-1974). In the 1930's she lived in Peking and Tientsin, China. She moved to Hawaii and lived there until the end of the Second World War. Sharon is a novel of Hawaii, set in the time of King Kalakaua. A romantic drama which has its climax occuring at the Great Fire in Chinatown (Honolulu) in 1886.
