Sobre este artículo

London: Collins, 1987. A gorgeous copy. Clean, square, tight, and unmarked. The Dust Jacket is superb. Bright, shiny, and protected by a removable Brodart sleeve. No chips. No tears. No owner's name or bookplate. No remainder mark. Pages are fresh and crisp. This is the British export edition with unpriced Dust Jacket, generally considered the true first edition. "First published in 1987" is so stated on the copyright page. Bound in the original green boards. Gold lettering on the spine is shiny and perfect, with NO flaking and NO rubbing. Sharp corners. Illustrated with 2 maps of France. Eighth book in the Richard Sharpe series. From the Dust Jacket: "Winter, 1814. Allied forces have established a bridgehead in Napoleon's France, and preparations are afoot for the final assault which will ensure the defeat of the beleaguered Emperor. But Richard Sharpe's future looks as bleak as the January weather. Deprived of his command, he finds himself a catspaw in a game of military intrigue... behind the scenes his oldest and most implacable enemy, Pierre Ducos, is spinning a deadly web.". First Edition. Hard Cover. Fine condition/Fine dust jacket.. 8vo. 319pp..

Sobre About Books

About Books (Genny and Michael Winne, proprietors, formerly of Parsippany, New Jersey) has been selling rare and OP books since 1985. Besides book fairs and mail-order catalogues, long-time collectors and dealers will remember our lengthy For Sale ads in the Antiquarian Bookman and similar magazines. Our inventory of over 40,000 volumes is especially strong in the specialties listed, but contains fine books in a variety of other fields as well. Because most of our books are stored in protective boxes, rather than on shelves, they cannot be viewed as a whole. If you wish to visit us to examine specific titles, please provide 24 hours notice and we will make them available for your inspection. Phone calls to (702) 750-2722 are welcome, but please, only between the hours of 8am and 10pm (west coast time).
