A bright first edition of this Lonsdale Library publication concerning hunting by moor, field, and shore. The first trade edition of this work, issued in the same year as a first limited edition. From 'The Lonsdale Library of Sports, Games, and Pastimes,' under general editorial guidance of the Earl of Lonsdale, K.G., G.C.V.O., D.L., and Mr. Eric Parker. Seventy-five full page plates and numerous illustrations in text. The present volume consists of a practical guide to modern methods for shooting by moor, field, and shore. By Eric Parker, Leslie Sprake, Major Portal, Major Pollard, and other authoritative contributors. Complete with its dust wrapper unclipped. Previous ownership inscription to the front free endpaper, undated. In the original publisher's full cloth binding. Externally lovely with minor shelf wear only. The dust wrapper is unclipped and very sound with some shelf wear, cockling to the front wrap due to minor damp damage, with a minor closed tear to the head of the front flyleaf, the pricing is neatly folded, leaving a minor crease. Undated previous ownership inscription to the front free endpaper. Internally, firmly bound. Light spotting to the edges and scattered to the leaves throughout. With numerous figures in text and seventy-five full page plates in black and white. Very Good Indeed

Where are We?
Based in the literary city of Bath, our offices are housed in the Eastern Dispensary. Built in 1845, the building originally existed as a charitable institution providing medical care. The building now houses our collection of over twenty thousand books and has five full time members of staff.
