Sobre este artículo
First American edition, published by Dodd, Mead, 1928. No dust jacket. Canadian humorist Stephen Leacock, wrote many satirical novels, there is also an award name in his honor given annually to encourage Canadian humor writing. This is one of his collections of short humorous stories and anecdotes, each just a few pages long. Red cloth covered boards, with the title and author name in black on the front cover and spine. The boards are flat and the corners are not bumped or creased. All lettering on the boards is crisp and not rubbed or worn. Just a few dots of edge wear to the head and heel of the spine and to the very tips of the corners. Former owner's name in very fine point fountain pen ink on the first blank flyleaf, dated 'Christmas 1928'. 372 pages, rough fore edged text block. Edges of the text are just age appropriate tanned. The binding is tight and square. The flyleaf pages have squares of age tanning marks. No further writing besides the signature, no writing on the text pages. This is not a library discard. The attached photo is of the copy we have in our inventory.
