Sobre este artículo

London: Printed by S. Roycroft, for W. Bentley, 1693. First edition. Leather Bound. Very Good. 4 1/2 x 7 inches. 1 leaf advertisement and imprimatur + title + 18 leaves (preface and contents) + 312 numbered pages. Small ink inscription and library stamp of Bibliotheca Pusieana, Oxon. to title. Two small wormholes at extreme lower margin of first 60 pages. Occasional scattered light foxing or staining, otherwise generally very clean. Bound in full brown calf with five raised bands to spine. Rebacked preserving original boards which have a little scuffing and rounding with slight loss, and endpapers renewed. ESTCR8086. Pusey House is a center of Anglo-Catholic worship and Study at the University of Oxford, named after the prominent Tractarian Edward Bouverie Pusey. The Oxford (or Tractarian) Movement was a movement of High Church Anglicans, eventually developing into Anglo-Catholicism. The movement, the members of which were often associated with the University of Oxford, argued for the recovery of traditional aspects of the Christian faith, subsequently lost, and their inclusion into Anglican liturgy and theology and conceived of the Anglican Church as one of three branches of the Catholic Church. A nice copy of this scarce and generally skeptical treatise.
