Oxford: Oxford at the Clarendon Press, 1959. Third Edition Reprint. Half Leather. Near Fine. 4to - over 9¾" - 12" Large. Type: Z A super copy of this two volume set. 2515pp. in all. Bound in navy blue half leather with gilt embossed lettering to the spines. Third edition - this edition with corrections and revised addenda. A lovely two volume set bound in dark navy blue half leather with blue buckram cloth sides with gilt upper edges and a navy blue ribbon page divider to each volume. Each volume has marbled blue endpapers. No inscriptions. Some offsetting to the leather board corners causing the marbled endpapers to tone. The extreme tips of a few page corners of volume one have been turned. The original slipcase is only really in good minus or fair condition. It still protects the volumes but is worn and rubbed to its peripheries. A lovely half leather two volume set of the third edition of this important dictionary.
