Neatly penned previous owner name and date at top edge of front free endpaper. Lovely color frontis illustration with tissue guard, 1-1/2" closed tear to tissue guard at binding edge; additional black and white illustrations throughout. Illustrated by C. Coles Phillips and Reginald Birch. 401 pp..
