The strange inn keepers seem to have some sort of hold over Asa and their foster daughter. When Asa dies, Nancy becomes embroiled in the middle of a family feud involving Bess and George which nearly costs her their friendship. In the end Nancy solves a baffling mystery involving the parentage of the inn keeper's foster daughter and foils the inn keeper's sinister plans. A clean very presentable copy in a Brodart mylar jacket.
