We are here offering Powell's hand-written reply and the book with a dedication to Gloria by Howell. (her letter to Powell is not included) The letter is dated 'Tuscon, 12 June 92'.
Powell writes, that he remembers Gloria, and has followed her "extraordinary career". Powell mentions the death of his wife and of an old friend: "At 85 I'm feeling my age in these losses I suffer" He continues the letter by writing about his work of helping to get the new library school accredited.
