Signed and inscribed by a Colombian novelist, winner of the Nobel Prize Laureate in Literature Gabriel Garcia Marquez: "I <3 MOSKU / Gabriel".
Marquez visited Moscow in 1987 for the XV International Film Festival. It was his third and final visit to the USSR. The novelist had a long conversation with Mikhail Gorbachev and said: "You have never had a ruler of such intelligence, of such measure."
These photos were taken during the press conference.
The author of one of the photos, Galina Kmit (1931-2019), is a prominent female photo artist and correspondent.
